⭐ FAQs
What is LAVA-LITE SOIL-RESTORE+? It's a natural volcanic soil conditioner that improves drainage, aeration and structure in heavy, compacted or poor-quality soils.
Does it work in clay soil? Very well — SOIL-RESTORE+ reduces compaction, increases air pockets and makes clay soils easier to work with.
Is it safe for pets, children and wildlife? Yes — it's 100% natural, pH-neutral and non-toxic.
Can I use it in raised beds or containers? Yes — it works well mixed into raised bed soil, containers, borders and vegetable patches.
Will it help with waterlogged soil? Yes — its porous structure improves drainage and helps prevent water pooling around roots.
Can I add it to peat-free compost? Yes — it helps balance moisture retention in peat-free mixes, which can otherwise dry out or compact quickly.
How much should I use? Mix generously into the top layer of soil or compost — there's no need to measure precisely, more helps looser, better-draining soil.
Is it reusable? Yes — it does not degrade and can be reused across multiple growing cycles.
Does it need reapplying every season? Not necessarily — since it doesn't break down, one application can continue improving soil structure for years, though topping up after heavy digging or replanting helps.

ordered this to help perk up a fig tree that i have in my garden. It hasn't produced any fruit this year, and I've re-potted it with new soil to see if this helps. I did some research and it advised to get soil improver, so this item fitted the bill. It arrived in a plastic resealable bag in a 1ltr capacity. The instructions on the rear of the bag were clear and easy to follow.Once unpacked, it's literally a case of mixing this in with the soil and watering it in well. The product does smell a bit, and with all these types, you should wash your hands once you've finished using it. It's been added to my re-potted fig tree now for nearly 2.5 weeks and the tree has perked up somewhat, with a noticeable improvement in the tree's health. Price break is excellent and won't break the bank. I am extremely happy with this product- easy to use, good quality and great value for money. Highly recommended.
The product is small lava rocks than you can use in planters and baskets as well as your borders. You sprinkle them wherever you like and then work them into the soil.Although I have not used these lava stones before I always mix stones and gravel into the soil and compost as it definitely helps with drainage and aeration of the soil. These seem to have the same purpose but release nutrients into the soil. I am not sure they are any better than gravel or how long it takes to see a difference though.
This is a great value bag of soil improver, I got this for my very sad looking bourgonvillia tree which was producing less flowers this year and looking a little past its best.I added this to some soil and moved my tree to a new location, mixing the soil and soil improver in and after a week or so it seems to be doing well, no new growth yet but but seems to be a bit perkier so hoping this has helped.A very inexpensive bag, goes a long way and seems effective, recommended.
I've used this product to 'enhance' the soil in my raised flower bed. Whether it'll work, time will tell! The product claims to improve root penetration and water retention, which I am confident of thanks to the structure of the soil. I like that the product is natural and organic and will not harm any existing plants in the bed. It's also so easy to use, so it's not a lot of effort to get the benefits. For the prize and size of the bag, I'd probably only order this again for specific plants that I think need a bit of special treatment, rather than splashing out on my whole garden.
☑️ As described and as advertised.☑️ Well packaged and well presented in a branded pouch.☑️ Good security with tamper evident on first opening.☑️ Easy to follow instructions and simple to use.☑️ It's hard to gauge whether these work but they should prevent soil compaction and improve moisture retention but also prevent waterlogging. 3L larger pack is more expensive than buying.
