LAVA-LITE NO-GNATS is a natural volcanic top-dressing offering effective fungus gnat control and natural pest control for houseplants, pots, containers and greenhouse plants. This houseplant top dressing is ideal for indoor plant pest prevention.
Fungus gnats thrive in damp compost and lay their eggs in the top layer of soil. NO-GNATS creates a dry, aerated, moisture-wicking barrier that discourages gnats from landing and stops them accessing the soil to lay eggs.
100% natural, pH-neutral, non-toxic and safe for pets, children and wildlife. Once finished, the product can be mixed into soil to improve drainage and aeration.

The gnats are gone!
I bought this as my landlord left me some indoor plants but I didn't like the little squatters they attract. Gnats. So I let the plants dry out completely as this stems the larvae hatching and then repotted in fresh compost before adding this on top.So far it's doing its job and there has been no annoying little flying pests getting in my face.In order to protect it's use water from the bottom. In all I'm pleased with this and this bag has done eight small to medium sized pots with plenty to spare for my two large ones to go. As you can see it has absorbed a little moisture but that's fine.
Seems to be working, ordered another bag to do all of the houseplants.
Oh my God, it’s a must because, I can’t live with hundreds of tiny little flies.. I hate them!! 😂Anyway, I’ve used all of the at killer on my plants last night and there’s zero Gnats on my windows and sticky plastic plant traps. Therefore, it’s a success already!! 😃One very happy customer.
coming back a month later to report this worked superbly, so pleased and no need for pesticides. did as it said (probably a bit more than half an inch) and added a fly sticky pad as well to each effected pot. anyway a month later, no gnats at all. would buy again!
Better, almost perfect. This is certainly preferable to chemicals or the stink of neem oil, and the gnats have definitely reduced. There are still a number of gnats in the affected plant with smaller guys suggesting that reproduction is still possible but will probably not!. This review comes a couple of weeks after purchase, so there’s still time for a total victory. Redhead VS Gnats continues!
